Simple Strategy for Speech Sound Development
Make your face fun!! This simple strategy can make all the difference when it comes to teaching new words, ESPECIALLY for kids who’s sounds are coming out a little muddled.
This strategy can support your child’s language development and their speech sound development.
When you’re playing and teaching them a new word, bring the item up to your mouth.
It’s all about making your face fun and luring them to look at your face by holding it around your face.
Cucumber – Can you see that if I was holding this at my face, my child’s more likely to be looking here and seeing how my mouth moves to make the word ‘cucumber’.
So they can see the speech sounds required and learn the word because I’m saying it right next to where it is.
