Research has shown that kids who are read to daily hear around 1.4 million more words by age 5 than those who aren’t. That’s a HUGE difference! 🤯

Here’s how many words kids hear by age 5:

- Never read to = around 5000 words
- A couple of times per week = around 63,000 words
- 3-5 times per week = around 170,000 words
- Daily = around 297,000 words
- Five books a day = around 1,483,000 words!!!!!

Language is woven into everything we do, and exposure to a rich vocabulary from an early age can significantly impact speech and reading development.

Why does it matter? Hearing more words helps kids:
✨ Develop a richer vocabulary
✨ Boost their listening skills
✨ Improve their imagination
✨ Prepare for school success

So grab a book, snuggle up, and enjoy story time! 📖 Let’s help our little ones grow into confident, curious learners.

You've got this.
