Reminder: Kids Truly Don't Want to Misbehave
Kids TRULY don’t want to misbehave. Even if it looks like they’re laughing, they’re doing so because they feel so uncomfortable and out of control. If we choose to not take it personally and imagine them saying “I don’t know how to calm down, I need your help” then we’re much more likely to respond with kindness, even though inside we feel like every button has been pushed.
