How to Play when your Kids are at Different Ages and Stages

How YOU interact and respond can change the whole learning experience.

For sure it's sometimes difficult, but when you join in with kids you can support them to play and learn with the same resource. It's all about using your language to match them at their level and model one step above.

In this example, I supported Etta (1) at her level by setting up an activity I knew she could do and modelling words like "put it in", "your turn"and "stick".

For August (3.5) I set up some sorting games, imaginative play and pattern creation.

Same resource, multiple ways!
