The Classic Kiwi Cheese Roll
A kiwi classic - cheese rolls!
Doesn’t get any better than this for a quick snack and a great one to help your little one to practise those spreading, mixing and rolling skills.
You’ll need:
Loaf of bread
Reduced cream
Soup mix (onion, bacon and onion, or french onion are always firm winners in our house)
Grated cheese
Diced onion (optional)
Grab your clever mat, clever knife, clever spoon and clever bowl (yup our bowls are big enough to contain it all)
Pour your can of reduced cream, soup mix and stir to combine. Add half the grated cheese, diced onion and combine.
Spoon the mixture onto the bread and spread out, roll and pop on your clever mat upside down because yes it’s oven proof - up to 230°c!
Keep repeating the above until the loaf is all done (these are great for the freezer or a lunchbox snack). Spread with butter and top with cheese for extra deliciousness - trust me, you won’t regret it! 🤤
In the oven on 200°c for 10min or until crispy and golden and cheese has melted.
Let cool and cut in half for easy eating, add some sauce of choice into our dippy chick and enjoy!
