Finally! Spoons that actually fit a child's mouth!
Designed by a Speech and Language Therapist, Clever Spoons® are the perfect starter spoon from the beginning of the solids journey and beyond.
What sets them apart from all the rest? They're meticulously designed to be just the right size for babies. They have a textured handle and a wide neck which prevents slippy little hands from sliding down onto the scoop. There's a notch at the back so you can hook them onto the side of plates and bowls, and when dropped, the scoop stays elevated off the floor. Your baby will thank you later!
Safety
Never leave your child unattended with anything in their mouth, including Clever Spoons®. Observe your child at all times when they are eating. Inspect spoons regularly and dispose fully at any sign of wear or tear.

Choosing silicone
Silicone is a wonder of a material in the baby world, most importantly because it’s food-safe and BPA-free. It’s also odour and stain resistant, hypoallergenic and a breeze to clean. As it’s so long lasting and can be used time and time again, this makes silicone a much better and sustainable option compared with plastic.
When you use silicone, you’re saving the planet by choosing products that are made from natural materials (did you know it’s made from sand?!) so ka pai!

FAQs
What age are these spoons for?
From the start of the solids journey and beyond. All children are different and reach milestones at different times, but up until age 2 is a guideline.
Can older children use them?
Yes. Still great for textures like yoghurt and mashed potato etc. We WILL be bringing out a stainless steel cutlery set for older children. Watch this space.
The neck isn't wide enough to stop my child putting it to the back of their throat.
That's kind of the point! We designed the neck to prevent children's hands from slipping into the scoop, but not to prevent them from putting the whole spoon in their mouth. This kind of exploration is great for the gag reflex and readiness for different solids textures. Our little b teether is designed in a similar way.
What is spoon-switching and how can I do it?
Load the spoon for your child then place it in the bowl/plate with the notch hooked onto the side for easy grabbing. Once they've grabbed it and brought it up to their mouth, use the other spoon to do the same. Gently remove the first spoon from their grip and gesture towards the second spoon. This helps them to practice the hand-to-mouth action with the spoon and cuts out the scooping up of food which is often trickier. I'll have videos on my instagram soon.
